Hi, welcome to Sweet Cravings Bakery!
I’m Ashley, the founder of SCB. I’m a high schooler in the Bay Area and I started this business the summer of 2020 out of my love for baking.
I practically grew up in the kitchen. I was eight when my grandma, my culinary inspiration, gave me my first glimpse into the culinary world. We were making Taiwanese taro glutinous rice balls. She handed me the log of mashed taro and tapioca starch to roll out, and I felt on top of the world as I move my small hands flatly against the log. Not to sound cliche, but since that moment, I knew that I would follow in my grandma's steps in the kitchen.
I've grown tremendously as a baker and chef, always experimenting with recipes and staying up to bake the perfect creme brulee or apricot pie, according to my calculations and research.
Because baking has played such a prominent role in my life, I wanted to use it to give back to my community—by starting Sweet Cravings Bakery!
